It's no hole-and-corner some hither that I honey Slope Dude Says. It's similar Simon Says but alongside arm movements to correspond the dissimilar types of slope. It's a definite favorite!
For the end twain of years, I've had a gear upward of WWSDS? posters hanging inwards my classroom. This stands for "What Would Slope Dude Say?" When my students are graphing linear equations, I tell them that the end matter they should ever create later graphing is inquire "What Would Slope Dude Say?" If they create this, they volition grab together with therefore many of their mistakes!
This year, I decided to accept my decorating a footstep further together with genuinely map out Slope Dude's journeying on the wall. This volition remain upward all twelvemonth equally a visual. I intend my students volition mainly role it equally a quick reference for aught gradient vs undefined slope.
This is made out of iv sheets of missive of the alphabet sized paper. I laminated the sheets for durability. This, of course, made it really difficult to photograph. I managed to buy the farm Slope Dude to last glare-free inwards this photo, but the number work posters weren't together with therefore lucky.
After hanging it up, I decided I should championship my posters, too. Someone on twitter suggested I should impress off a Slope Dude to house on my posters. Such a cute idea!
See that chip betwixt "Niiiiiice Negative" together with "This is aught fun"? There was a chip of the wall showing betwixt those, together with therefore I took a chip of the dark-green that I trimmed off "This is" together with "zero fun" and stuck it behind to buy the farm inwards hold back to a greater extent than complete.
My favorite part, of course, is the vertical "UNDEFINED!" section. I promise this reinforces that a vertical work has an undefined slope.
