Egg Drib Gallery Walk

Teaching a scientific discipline cast this yr has me doing to a greater extent than projects than I've likely always done inward all my previous years every bit a math teacher.  Setting upwards projects inward an effective agency has been a definite learning curve.  



This week, my students bring been working on designing egg drib devices.  I had students interruption into pairs too brainstorm 3 possible designs given a listing of allowed materials too projection constraints.  They had to pull a motion-picture present of each blueprint too label all of the components.  

The adjacent day, I posted these designs simply about the room.  Each span of students was given a pad of gluey notes to purpose to comment on each design.  Students had to percentage an human face of the blueprint they liked too a proposition for improving each design.  This was my starting fourth dimension time always implementing a gallery walk inward my classroom.

10 minutes later launching this activity, I had an sentiment that I *really* wishing I had had 10 minutes BEFORE launching the activity.  Since each grouping had made 3 designs, I wishing I had told the groups to rank the designs from 1 to 3 on their gluey notes inward add-on to giving written feedback.


When students were done rotating, they got their designs off the wall too read the feedback from their peers.

I asked each pupil span to write a paragraph describing their terminal design.  Then, they had to pull how they had used the feedback from other groups to refine their designs.
